The children in Lions have being trying on uniforms from 1914 - 1918
Some of our adventures so far this term.
Katheryn and Ralf from CBeebies came in to talk to Sharks Class this week. We talked about recycling and came up with lots of creative ideas for making new things from old objects. Miss Marshall then let us try out one of our ideas back in class… Straw & String Jewellery!
Leopards class enjoyed a fantastic school trip to Bolton Abbey yesterday. We looked around the Priory, Memorial fountain and had a lovely (drizzly) walk. On the way back, we stopped at Billy Bobs Parlour where we devoured some rather delicious ice cream and let off some steam playing in the barn.
Key Stage One had a wonderful time taking part in sports day. All the children tried very hard in their races. Thank you to everyone who came to support the children.
The Dolphins class enjoyed their trip to TESCO on Wednesday morning. The children especially enjoyed looking at the fresh fish and learning how to bake bread.
The Lions class had an amazing time on their trip to York! They explored Viking history at Jorvik and York Dig, then scared themselves silly at the Dungeons! The children had a great time and their behaviour was outstanding all day.
Our brilliant children
Leopards had a fantastic day at the end of last term celebrating everything they had learnt through their topic ‘Ancient Egypt’. As a class we designed Egyptian God and Goddess paintings, sampled some home-made Egyptian lemonade and created our own mummy cookies!
These are the pictures from our May Procession this morning. Thank you to all the parents for sending your children in beautifully presented and for providing flowers.
The Dolphins class had a lovely day at the Wild Boar Park yesterday. The children especially enjoyed feeding the lambs and holding the chicks.
The Year 5 class have been to the Liverpool World Museum to find out more about Stone and Bronze age lifestyles. We were able to handle various artifacts from the time period as well as explore the new Egyptian and Space exhibits.
